PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of cooling oil by centrifugal force when rotating a rotor. SOLUTION: A rotor cooling structure includes end plates 11 and 12 which are arranged to abut on end faces in an axial direction of a rotor core 6 that integrally rotates with a rotor shaft 5 and in which inner peripheral parts 11a and 12a are fixed to the rotor shaft 5. The structure supplies cooling liquid 24 between the rotor core 6 and the end plates 11 and 12 and cools the rotor core 6. Abutting parts of the rotor core 6 and the end plates 11 and 12 are outermost peripheral parts 11b and 12a of the end plates 11 and 12. The inner peripheral parts 11a and 12a of the end plates 11 and 12 are fixed to the rotor shaft 5 while preload is given to a direction of the rotor core 6. Rigidity of the end plates 11 and 12 is set to be higher than an outer peripheral side on an inner peripheral side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
