PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encrypting device and an encryption data storage which prevents encryption key information from leaking. SOLUTION: Plain data input from a backup server 62 through a switch 61 are converted into encrypted data by encryption key information at an encryption/decryption processing section 41. The encrypted data are sent to a backup storage 63 through the switch 61 for storage. At the encryption/decryption processing section 41, in the encryption, decryption key information for decoding the encrypted data is created. A key information division section 44 divides the decryption key information, based on, for example a RAID (Redundant Array Inexpensive Disks) type to generate a plurality of pieces of division key information.
