PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display capable of preventing a video image of a video display from being unclear when a subject of a video camera is dark. SOLUTION: The video display is provided with: a camera 102 for generating a video signal and outputting a stop information; a video display 101 for displaying the video signal on a screen; and a video signal processing circuit 103 for executing contrast adjustment, black level adjustment, luminance gamma correction and generation of a timing of the video display and other image quality correction in order to display the video signal on a liquid crystal display. The aperture stop value of a shutter of the camera is supplied to the video display, the display monitors the current aperture stop value of the camera, the display is controlled in contrast when the subject of the camera is dark, and the contrast is improved.
