<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a blurred moving image caused by black insertion, while suppressing the reduction in brightness. <P>SOLUTION: In the first half of one frame period of a video signal AV, an image is displayed on the basis of frame image data FLr, FLg and FLb being a raw image for each of color components of R, G and B.
