PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A COMPOSITION USEFUL AS FUEL

A process is described for the preparation of a composition useful as fuel or as a component of fuels which comprises reacting a mixture of a biological origin containing one or more triglycerides of fatty acids with methyl-ter-butyl-ether, in the presence of an acid catalyst, to give a mixture containing one or more methyl esters of fatty acids and ter-butyl-glycerols.
