PURPOSE: A composition of skin external application containing a ligand which is specific to a PPAR-delta is provided to promote the expression of extracellular matrix protein and effectively treat wound. CONSTITUTION: A composition of skin external application comprises a ligand which is specific to a PPAR-delta. A ligand which is specific to a PPAR-delta effectively treat skin wound, aging and wrinkle by promoting the expression of an extracellular matrix protein such as type I collagen, type III collagen and fibronectin in a keratinocyte and fibroblast. The cosmetic composition for treating wrinkle comprises a GW501516 (2-[2-methyl-4-([4-methyl-2-[4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)-1,3-thiazol-5-yl]methylsulfanyl]phenoxy]acetic acid).
