PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing apparatus for a thermoplastic sheet by which wrinkles and bends at both end parts of the sheet can be prevented from occurring when an embossing pattern is formed on the thermoplastic sheet. SOLUTION: The processing apparatus of the thermoplastic sheet for forming the embossing pattern on the thermoplastic sheet under conveyance includes: a cylindrical embossing plate which has length in an axial direction longer than width of the thermoplastic sheet, has irregularity formed on its surface and is rotatably supported; a cylindrical pressing barrel which presses the thermoplastic sheet passing between the embossing plate and itself and is rotatably supported; a heater which is arranged at an upper stream side than the embossing plate and at one side same as the embossing plate toward the thermoplastic sheet and which heats one side of the thermoplastic sheet; and a first shielding member which is arranged between the heater and the one side of the thermoplastic sheet and which covers, among both side parts of the heater, a part extending to the outer side in a width direction than both side edges of the thermoplastic sheet, wherein a plurality of through-holes are formed in the first shielding member.
