<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical system, an imaging device, and a digital apparatus, which can reduce stray light and acquire the information on an original image appropriately. <P>SOLUTION: The optical system 1A includes an imaging lens system 11 which forms an optical image onto a predetermined imaging surface, a linear polarizer 12A which is arranged on any location on the optical axis of the imaging lens system 11, converts incidence light into linear polarizing light and emits the light.
