<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably hold a polarizing plate at a regular position in the vicinity of an incidence plane of a cross dichroic prism without increasing the number of part items or the number of assembling processes. <P>SOLUTION: In this optical plate holding device, a pedestal 30 is fixed to the bottom of the cross dichroic prism 8, and a top cover 32 is fixed to the top surface. A receiving part 38 is integrally provided to the pedestal 30, and a regulating part 39 and a post 47 are integrally provided to the top cover 32. A pre-polarizing plate 17 and a main polarizing plate 18 are inserted to a slot of the receiving part 38 through a slot of the regulating part 39. A pinching unit 42 is fixed to the post 47. Using energizing force of a metallic plate spring 43, a plastic engaging piece 45 fixed to arms 43a, 43b is engaged with the upper end edge of the pre-polarizing plate 17 and the main polarizing plate 18. The pre-polarizing plate 17 and the main polarizing plate 18 are pinched between the engaging piece 45 and the receiving part 38. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
