PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a PDP suppressing variations in discharge and misdischarge when the panel is lighted, and having little luminance deterioration even if it is used for a long time. SOLUTION: In this plasma display panel, a pair of substrates are arranged face to face so that a discharge space 122 is formed between the substrates, barrier ribs to partition the discharge space to a plurality of spaces are arranged on at least one substrate, electrode groups are arranged on the substrates so that discharge is generated in the discharge spaces partitioned by the barrier ribs, and a green phosphor layer made of a mixture of BaMgAl<SB>10</SB>O<SB>17</SB>:Mn and (Y, Gd)Al<SB>3</SB>(BO<SB>3</SB>)<SB>4</SB>:Tb which emits light by discharge is provided. The mixture ratio of (Y, Gd)Al<SB>3</SB>(BO<SB>3</SB>)<SB>4</SB>:Tb is not less than 30 wt.% and not more than 80 wt.% in this display panel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
