PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode assembly in which fracture of a leading-in conductor is suppressed and the jointing strength of an electrode and the leading-in conductor can be improved. SOLUTION: The electrode assembly 1 includes: an electrode 2 of cup-shape, which has a bottom wall 4 and a cylindrical sidewall 5 stood at the surrounding, and in which a recessed portion 6 forming a space of a pillar shape from the outer face of the bottom wall 4 toward the inner face is formed; a cylindrical leading-in conductor 3 which has a diameter smaller than the recessed portion 6 and in which the top end part is inserted into the recessed portion 6, and the top end face 3a adheres to the bottom face 6a of the recessed portion 6; and a jointing part 7 which fills between the inner periphery face 6b of the recessed portion 6 and the outer periphery face 3b of the leading-in conductor 3, and joints the recessed portion 6 and the leading-in conductor 3. When the length from the bottom face 6a of the recessed portion 6 in the outer periphery face 3b of a recrystallized part 3c formed from the top end face 3a of the leading-in conductor 3 to the other end thereof direction to the center axis A direction is b, and the length from the bottom face 6a of the recessed portion 6 on the outer periphery face side of the leading-in conductor 3 of the jointing part 7 to the center axis direction is c, the relations of c>b is satisfied.
