METHOD OF PRODUCING RED COLORED GLASS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably produce red colored glass by using a flint glass as a base glass and adding a reducing agent and a coloring agent at a foreheath for coloring. SOLUTION: The red colored glass using a flint glass as a base glass can be stably produced by: charging the first frit containing tin and zinc to a base glass containing Fe2+and Fe3+in a glass with the content ratio of Fe2+/(Fe2++Fe3+)≤0.3 at the foreheath for coloring; and further charging the second frit containing copper, tin and zinc at the down stream side.
