PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to check right and left sides of a vehicle farther with a simple structure. SOLUTION: An incidence plane of a prism 151R faces a right oblique direction viewed from a lens 152, and an incidence plane of a prism 151L faces a left oblique direction viewed from the lens 152, in an optical system 141 of a camera. The prism 151R and the prism 151L are vertically arranged to locate the prism 151R above, and the prism 151L below. Light entering in the incidence plane of the prism 151R from the right side of the vehicle and light entering in the incidence plane of the prism 151L from the left side are bent in the direction of the lens 152 to locate the light from the prism 151R above, and the light from prism 151L below, form one image, and pass the lens 152, then imaging on an image pick-up plane of an imaging device 153. As a result, a side image where the image on the right side of the vehicle is located above, and the image on the left side of the vehicle is located below is picked up.
