The invention relates to synchronisation methods and devices for implementing auction sale applications in a communication network using a server and at least one customer terminal. When receiving (305) a message containing a reference to a predetermined moment, the message is processed (310) and a command from said customer terminal is inhibited (600) until said predetermined moment. When receiving an offer, a value linked to said sale is updated (515) and a moment from which said value can further be considered is determined. A message including said value and said moment is generated and transmitted (520) to the customer terminal. The moment is preferably determined on the basis of the moment at which said message is created and transmitted, and on the basis of communication parameters.
