<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document processor for improving the convenience of user operation when selecting any of a plurality of selection candidates for editing, and to provide a tape printer, a method for displaying selection candidates of the document processor, and a program. <P>SOLUTION: The tape printer 1 includes a display screen 41 for displaying one of a normal editing screen 41a and a cable editing screen 41b, and a (symbol B) key 32b for instructing to display a plurality of selection candidates for inputting an symbol from each editing screen.
