<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a high quality roller with a silicone rubber sponge layer formed on an outer periphery of a silicone rubber layer as an elastic body layer in a short manufacturing process. <P>SOLUTION: In the roller having the elastic body layer on the outer periphery of a metal core, the elastic body layer is constituted so that an additional type silicone rubber sponge directly covers the outer periphery of an additional type silicone rubber without using an adhesive. The roller is manufactured through processed of: forming, with a mold, the silicon rubber roller which has the additional silicone rubber covering the outer periphery of the metal core; and injecting the silicone rubber roller into a rubber covering unit for manufacturing of sponge roller to directly cover the additional silicone rubber sponge on the outer periphery of the additional type silicone rubber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
