PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method, a printer, an image processor, and an image processing program that can perform excellent color reproduction while maintaining gradations when associating color gamuts of image devices each other. SOLUTION: When there is an out-color-gamut area which is outside a color gamut of a second image device and in a color gamut of a first image device at a predetermined hue of a predetermined device independent color space, a peak value J<SB>0</SB>of a display color gamut and a peak value J<SB>0</SB>' of a printer color gamut at the predetermined hue are detected and when the difference J<SB>sub</SB>between both the peak value is larger than a threshold J<SB>th</SB>which is a half of a spacing between a white dot and the peak value J<SB>0</SB>, color gamut conversion processing is performed by alternating a first compression algorithm and a second compression algorithm based upon the peak value J<SB>0</SB>, but when J<SB>sub</SB>≤J<SB>th</SB>, meanwhile, color gamut conversion processing is performed by the second compression algorithm.
