PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide remote control enabled equipment having a simple system configuration and enabled to be controlled by a remote controller or a gesture at a low cost. SOLUTION: The remote control enabled equipment (display apparatus 100) includes a photodiode 1, a plurality of CMOS sensors 2, an infrared remote control input signal processing part 3, a gesture detection part 4, and an emulation part 5. The emulation part 5 converts a signal outputted from the gesture detection part 4 into a signal equivalent to a control signal generated in the infrared remote control signal processing part 3 when receiving a command from a remote controller 10.
