PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing fluorescent particles. SOLUTION: Provided is the method for producing the fluorescent particles, characterized by dispersing inorganic compound particles in a solvent and then irradiating the dispersion with laser beams. Herein, the inorganic compound particles are preferably produced by a liquid phase method or a gas phase method. The inorganic compound particles are preferably dispersed in the solvent by a crushing method or an ultrasonic wave irradiation method. The inorganic compound particles are preferably ZnO particles. The inorganic compound particles are preferably produced by adding a sodium hydroxide solution to a zinc acetate dihydrate solution. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
