PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate the speed of the inspection operation of an elevator, and to reduce a threshold setting time and a storage capacity required for setting the time by appropriately setting a threshold for detecting an abnormality of the elevator and preventing a delay in abnormality detection. SOLUTION: The elevator is travelled the predetermined number of times, and a signal subjected to abnormality determination in the inspection operation is measured at a predetermined position of each traveling. Next, a mean value 6 is calculated from the measured value 4 of the signal measured during each travelling, and standard deviation is calculated based on the measured value 4 and the mean value 6. A value with the calculated standard deviation multiplied by a predetermined coefficient is stored as the threshold 7, and the presence or absence of the abnormality is determined based on the threshold 7 during the inspection operation of the elevator.
