PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and automatically update a software program for controlling an elevator. SOLUTION: A CPU 31 switches a reference destination of data from a ROM 32 for storing the program to a RAM 33 for storing a differential program when receiving an update signal from a managing device 10 via a remote maintenance device 20. After switching the reference destination, the CPU 31 reads out the differential program stored in the RAM 33 for storing the differential program and rewrites the software program stored in the ROM 32 for storing the program with the differential program which has been read.
