PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately extract a speckle without depending on the shape or echo level in the periphery of the speckle. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic image processing apparatus includes: an ultrasonic transmitting/receiving section for transmitting ultrasonic waves toward a subject and receiving the ultrasonic waves reflected from the subject; and a speckle component extracting section for extracting speckle components from phase components of ultrasonic signals received by the ultrasonic transmitting/receiving section.
