PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring cat leptin present in a cat specimen. SOLUTION: The cat specimen is made acidic to separate the autoantibody bonded to the cat leptin, and a protein precipitant is added to separate the autoantibody not bonded to the cat leptin. After the autoantibody is removed from the cat leptin, the cat leptin present in the cat specimen is measured by immunoassay.
