<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which lowering of contrast is suppressed by preventing light in the short wavelength region from being reflected without damaging an antistatic function. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 1 includes a reflective display region R and a transmissive display region T in a pixel region X, and includes: a pair of substrates to hold a liquid crystal layer 30 in-between; a retardation layer 24 selectively formed on the region of a counter substrate 20 disposed on the outgoing side of light, two-dimensionally overlapping the reflective display region R; and a transparent lamination film 50 formed by laminating a plurality of films composed of mutually different forming materials, and formed so as to cover the surface of the counter substrate 20 opposite to the liquid crystal layer 30, wherein the transparent lamination film 50 has: a first transparent conductive film 52 formed so as to be in contact with the counter substrate 20; a transparent film 54 formed on the region of a surface of the first transparent conductive film 52 at least two-dimensionally overlapping the transmissive display region T and having a refractive index lower than that of the first transparent conductive film 52; and a second transparent conductive film 56 formed so as to cover at least the surface of the transparent film 54 and having a refractive index higher than that of the transparent film 54. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
