摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision predicting device can detecte the collision position of an obstacle in one's own vehicle with high accuracy when predicting a collision of one's own vehicle with the obstacle. <P>SOLUTION: A collision position distribution computation unit 20 in a collision predicting ECU 1 calculates the reliability as the collision predicting area in division areas obtained by dividing an area of one's own vehicle based on the collision predicting position predicted by a collision position computation unit 19. The collision position distribution computation unit 20 predicts the collision predicting area with reference to the reliability as the collision predicting area in a threshold map storage unit 21. The first column division area AX out of division areas AX, BX obtained by dividing the area of one's own vehicle is set overlapping the two second column division areas BX.
