PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide device having a moving coil linear motor built therein, in which a bed is formed into a hook shape with a rectangular section for reducing the sectional height and width and for minimizing the sectional dimension, and the length of the bed is set to various lengths, with a proper usage of the slide device for providing various stroke lengths, thus making the device handy. SOLUTION: The bed 2 is composed of an elongated, rectangular board portion 20, a rectangular top board portion 21 which is disposed to be parallel opposite to the board portion 20 across a given gap and is smaller in width than the board portion 20, and a sidewall portion 22, which integrally forms one side of the board portion 20 and the top board portion 21; the interior surface of the top board portion 21, facing the board portion 20, is formed as a facing surface 39 facing a magnet yoke 16; and a linear motion guide unit 10 is disposed on a side 44 of the board portion 20, that extends from the facing surface 39.
