PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fatigue crack detection method and a fatigue crack progress inhibiting method that facilitate visual detection of fatigue cracks even in a relatively early stage, inhibit the progress of cracks, and moreover, stably function even after the execution while improving visibility. SOLUTION: A fluid fatigue-crack detection-progress inhibiting agent is applied on the surface of a metal base material. A primer resin composition is applied on the surface of a layer of the fatigue-crack detection-progress inhibiting agent so as to form a thin-film coating thereon.
