PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform highly accurate grinding reflecting the condition of an actual workpiece and a grindstone in real time using an imaging means and a control device. SOLUTION: The grinding method includes: creating NC machining data in advance based on graphic data; imaging the actual workpiece 7 and grinding part of the grindstone 3 by the imaging means 9; displaying the NC machining data, a workpiece image and a grindstone image by the control device 17 on a screen 25 of a display device 27 as a machining line 33, the workpiece image 35 and a grindstone figure 37, with the machining line 33 and the workpiece image 35 being superposed, and grinding the workpiece 7 with the actual grindstone 3 manually or automatically while checking on-screen machining motion of machining of the workpiece image 35 by the grindstone image or the grindstone figure 37 based on the machining line 33 on the displayed screen 25.
