PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encryption method utilizing colors and message providing method for achieving perfect confidentiality of data or the like to be handled in information distribution or the like by attaining encryption of a computer object in information distribution between computers via a communication line such as the Internet. SOLUTION: An encryption method utilizing colors includes steps of: creating a color list by extracting a plurality of colors from a color image 31 (S11-S18); creating an ONC correspondence table 21 making correspondent each of the plurality of colors on the color list, an object described in an object list dictionary 21A and a color numerical value; and using the ONC correspondence table 21 to encrypt the object through converting the object, the color numerical value and the color code image in the order or to decrypt the object by inversely converting the color code image, the color numerical value and the object in the order.
