<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and an image processing method that obtain a blur of high picture quality equivalent to that of optical blurring. <P>SOLUTION: In the image processing apparatus which includes a blurring process means of performing a blurring process on input background image data and outputs the blurred background image, the blurring process means includes a conversion means of amplifying background image data of each pixel when the value of the background image data of the each pixel is high and an inverse conversion means of performing conversion inverse to that of the conversion means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
