PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer needle that can be retracted into a needle channel of a needle bed, without the clamping effect of its transfer spring. SOLUTION: In a transfer needle having at least one transfer spring (8), this transfer spring (8) is held, on its one end, in a lateral pocket or in a recess of the needle body, while the tip of the transfer spring is positioned in a longitudinal slit of the needle body. This longitudinal slit (24) has an inlet (25) that is open in the longitudinal direction of the needle body (5).
