The device has an axially extending fastening plate (13) fastened to external circumference of a stator (3), where the fastening plate is made of metal. An end (13a) of the fastening plate is bent outward and fastened to a cylindrical machine housing (2). The fastening plate is welded in a longitudinal groove of a stator housing (9). The bent end of the fastening plate is screwed or riveted with the machine housing.
