An encoding device capable of executing seamless reproduction processing without any unwanted discontinuous portions even if files (R) before encoding are re-encoded in an order different from the recording order on a gapless CD and obtained re-encoded ENC files (E) are reproduced in the recording order of the gapless CD with the original tracks. The encoding device comprises an encoding portion and a system controlling portion. The encoding portion encodes a plurality of files (R) before encoding which consist of a plurality of ES200's and which should be seamlessly reproduced in the reproduction order set up in advance. The system controlling portion adds ES200's in the number corresponding to a delay time to be generated during the encoding processing by the encoding portion immediately before and after the files (R) before encoding which are to be encoded and then inputs the files (R) before encoding into the encoding portion to get them re-encoded, and deletes only the encode data (300) corresponding to the ES200's added immediately before the files (R) before encoding from the obtained ENC files (E).
