PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a 1,2-bis(3,5-dioxopiperazinyl)propane is provided to safely produce the 1,2-bis(3,5-dioxopiperazinyl)propane without toxic solvent. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing a 1,2-bis(3,5-dioxopiperazinyl)propane comprises a step of cylization of diaminopropane tetra amide in anhydrous alcohol solvent at 60~80°C for two to six hours. The 1,2-bis(3,5-dioxopiperazinyl)propane is denoted by the chemical formula 1. The cyclization is to treat diamino propane tetra amide with alkali metal base and treat with acid without separation of produced a metal salt.
