PURPOSE: A composition containing Allium victorialis var. platyphyllum extract for preventing or treating cancer is provided to recover the suppression of GJIC which is pathological phenomenon. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cancer comprises Allium victorialis var. platyphyllum extract as an active ingredient. The Allium victorialis var. platyphyllum is produced from stem, root, petal, leaf or seed of Allium victorialis var. platyphyllum using ethanol or methanol. The composition is for preventing or treating lung cancer, breast cancer or gastric cancer.
