<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly durable magnet roller configured to prevent support parts of the magnet roller from damage, which results from shrink occurred in roots between the support parts and a groove formed in a body of the magnet roller or impact during assembly or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The magnet roller 133 includes: a columnar magnetic field generating means 140; columnar support parts 143 disposed in contact with both ends of the magnetic field generating means 140, and having smaller diameter than the magnetic field generating means 140 disposed on the same axis as them; the groove 140c formed in the surface of the columnar magnetic field generating means 140, extending in the axial direction of the magnetic field generating means 140, and used for inserting a long magnetic body (not shown) in it. The columnar magnetic field generating means 143 is composed of a body 140a disposed in its central part, and reinforcement parts 140b disposed at both its ends. The groove 140c is formed along the entire body 140a of the magnetic field generating means 140.
