<p>476,771. Egg-cartons. SANDELL, R. Aug. 6, 1936, Nos. 21732 and 21733. Convention dates, Dec. 18, 1935 and May 29, 1936. [Class 18] A collapsable eggcarton of wall-paper, cardboard, paper, fibre board, &c. is made, e.g. from the blank shown in Fig. 1, in such a way that an apertured wall or apertured walls 3, 11, Figs. 1 and 2, is /are provided which is /are integral with or permanently secured to the sides of the carton and /or partition walls such as 7 extending from the top to the bottom of the carton in such a way that the shell together with the inner part may be collapsed without severing the connection between the shell and the inner part. Panels 15, 17, 19, 21, and 23 form the shell and panels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13 form the inner part end panels 26, 27 being in some cases provided on panels 17 and 21 and/or 15 and 19. Panels 1, 5, 9, and 13 are secured by gluing, sewing, riveting &c. to panels 19, 7 and 15. The vertical partition 7 is held, erect by cut-out flaps 25 on panel 17 and if desired also on panel 21. One end of each row of seats may be closer to the wall of the carton than the other so that if alternate cartons are stacked in reversed positions, one egg will not rest immediately on another.
