VIBRATION REDUCING METHOD FOR PIPE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximize a vibration reducing effect by improving effects of vibration absorbing joints which are inserted for reducing solid propagation sounds of a pump pipe system and easily installing a means for improving the effects of the vibration absorbing joints.

SOLUTION: Two or more vibration absorbing joints are installed at selective positions on the pipe system in a mutually spaced relation. A weight adding mechanism is installed on the pipe system at a first position closer to a vibration source than the vibration absorbing joint closest to the vibration source, or at a second position farther from the vibration source than the vibration absorbing joint farthest from the vibration source. The position of the weight adding mechanism is adjusted lengthwise on the pipe system to minimize the vibration of a pipe at a predetermined vibration evaluation position. The weight adding mechanism is a structure which is slidably arranged in close contact with the outer periphery of the pipe. The structure which is formed of separative members can be mounted to the outer periphery of the pipe without removing the pipe.
