NOVEL ALICYCLIC COMPOUND AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel alicyclic compound having a norbornene skeleton and bearing a plurality of functional groups obtained from dicyclopentadienes and dipentaerythritol (meth)acrylates as raw materials which are industrially inexpensive, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The novel alicyclic compound has a low melting point and bears a plurality of highly reactive functional groups. The manufacturing method of the compound includes obtaining the compound by a Diels-Alder reaction or an oxidation reaction using dicyclopentadienes and dipentaerythritol (meth)acrylates as raw materials which are industrially inexpensive.
