PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly and quickly perform switching from normal operation to inspecting operation without confusing users of an elevator although the configuration is advantageous in cost. SOLUTION: When a maintenance worker carries out a predetermined operation procedure to a landing call button 7, a landing control device 6 demands an inspection operation preparing mode to a main control device 5. When the main control device 5 receives the demand, it prohibits the new registration of landing calls of respective floors and responds to existing registered calls. When the responses to the registered calls are completed, the main control device is shifted from the inspection operation preparing mode to an inspection operation mode. The landing control device 6 carries out the inspection operation preparing mode, landing display corresponding to the inspection operation mode, and vocal guidance by a landing display part 8 and a landing speaker 9.
