PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a state of an image forming device cannot be correctly recognized only by memorizing the latest information, besides the total number of printed sheets when a jam occurs, by classifying jam for every cause for recognizing a state of equipment when the jam occurs. SOLUTION: A presumed abnormality presumed for every type of jam determined in advance is associatedly memorized in a memory (storage means). Generation frequency for every type of jam preliminarily determined is calculated to specify the type of jam having a possibility of abnormality based on the calculated generation frequency.
