PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact oil filter not providing a set spring separately to the outside of a filter element. SOLUTION: The filter element 3 of the oil filter is equipped with: a lower shaking holder 60, which is constituted so as to form a fin oil passing port 62b allowing an internal space S4 to communicate with outlet piping 8, composed of a fin 62 freely detachable with respect to the leading end port of the outlet piping and a cap part 60b freely detachable with respect to an element lower center hole 50a and provided in the internal space in an up and down freely shakable manner; an upper fixed holder 56, of which the outer periphery is joined to the inner peripheral surface of the filter element; and the coil spring 58 supported on the lower shaking holder at one end part thereof and supported on the upper fixed holder at its other end part. The coil spring is used as a set spring for energizing the filter element toward a flange cover 18 so as to fix and hold the same in an element arranging space S1 in a state that the filter element is mounted in a filter case 2 and the fin is mounted on the leading end port of the outlet piping.
