PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the crank mechanism of a sewing machine which is capable of reducing the number of times of filling grease at a sliding part. SOLUTION: The crank mechanism 2 includes: a crank part 50 provided on an upper shaft 3; a crank rod 7 provided with a first ring part 7a formed by fastening a roughly ring part 7c in a roughly semicircular shape and a roughly ring member 30 and connected to a crank shaft 50b and a second ring part 7j for transmitting a reciprocating turning operation to a first gear 12 on both end parts a rod part 7b; and sealing members 32 and 32 provided so as to cover gaps C and C produced between each of the arm parts 50a of the crank part 50 and the first ring part 7a from the outer periphery, for which the other end side of the roughly ring parts 32a and 32b can be separated and connected and a separated part can be spread.
