The retainer (4) has a fastening section for fastening in a motor vehicle, particularly at an assembly and receiving sections for receiving a pipe. The receiving sections enclose the casing sections of the pipe in a half-shell-shape. An adhesive bond is manufactured between the receiving sections and the casing sections by ultrasonic sealing. An independent claim is included for a method for installing pipes, particularly heater hoses in a motor vehicle.
