PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel capable of increasing the strength against external impact. SOLUTION: A photographic lens section 1 includes third linear advancement restricting parts 1b, which are disposed in six areas so that they have the same phase as a follower part 1a. A second cylindrical part 7 has third linear advancement restricted parts 7c in the form of a long groove. In regular use, the third linear advancement restricting parts 1b and third linear advancement restricted parts 7c are not in contact with each other. If a second linear advancement restricting member 6 and so on deform elastically in the event of impact on the photographic lens section 1, and the photographic lens section 1 consequently rotates, the third linear advancement restricting parts 1b and third linear advancement restricted parts 7c come into contact with each other, and thereby the second cylindrical part 7 receives the rotating force of the photographic lens section 1. Further, its rotating force is transmitted to second linear advancement restricting parts 6b disposed in a second linear advancement restricting member 6. The impact force on the photographic lens section 1 is received by a linear advancement restricting member 4 in the circumferential direction and the second cylindrical part 7 in the direction of its outer circumference.
