PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of inspecting a reinforcing bar covering depth properly, while moving an ALC panel during a manufacturing stage of the ALC panel. SOLUTION: By using an apparatus equipped with a motion mechanism (7) reciprocating in a direction perpendicular to the traveling direction of an ALC panel (1) moving linearly and two eddy current type magnetic sensors (8a and 8b) attached to the motion mechanism, separated mutually in the traveling direction of the ALC panel, and enabling to change the mutual interval therebetween, the sensor is reciprocated in a direction perpendicular to the traveling direction of the ALC panel, and only when both the output values of the two adjoining sensors exceed a predetermined value, the reinforcing bar covering depth is determined to be unusual.
