PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distribution circuit adaptable to a high-definition multi-level display and according to the circuit scale of a drive circuit in a liquid crystal display device used for a compact portable device. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device including a liquid crystal display element and liquid crystal drive circuits uses the distribution circuit for distributing the outputs of the drive circuits into a plurality of video signal lines during one-scanning period. The distribution circuit is divided into a plurality of distribution circuits, and control signals are supplied from both end parts of each distribution circuit. Further, in the constitution that the output of the drive circuit is alternatively switchably connected to a high voltage-resistance output amplifier and a low voltage-resistance output amplifier, the drive circuits have a master function and a slave function so as to cope with odd-numbered outputs.
