PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicle body side structure capable of improving sensing performance by efficiently transmitting a load upon a side surface collision to a floor. SOLUTION: Cushion rubber 30 is attached to a hole 28C formed at a vertical wall 28B on a lower side of a door inner panel 28. The cushion rubber 30 is provided at a position to overlap with a rocker 16. A shaft 34 is placed along a vehicle width direction in a front side door 12, and a vehicle inner side edge 34A of the shaft 34 is retained in the cushion rubber 30. A gap 36 is formed between the vehicle outer side edge 34B of the shaft 34 and the door outer panel 26. A floor panel 24 is jointed to a transverse wall 21B at a rocker inner panel 20 of the rocker 16. The shaft 34, the cushion rubber 30, the transverse wall 21B, and the floor panel 24 are located at the roughly same level. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
