The inventive engine comprises a working cylinder with a piston, a prechamber with a spark-plug, a cylindrical combustion chamber, a compressor cylinder for heating a fuel-air mixture, provided with a piston, a fuel supply device and fuel and air supplying channels as well as with channels for feeding the fuel-air mixture to the combustion chamber. A return valve is arranged between the fuel supplying channel and the compressor cylinder. The prechamber is in the form of a hemisphere or truncated cone, the diameter of the base of which is equal to the combustion chamber diameter. The engine is provided with one or more pairs of channels which are used for supplying the fuel-air mixture to the combustion chamber and the axes of which are in pairs oriented towards each other. Furthermore, the angle between the axes of said channels and the combustion chamber axis is chosen from the range between the point of intersection of the axes of said channels on the central electrode of the spark plug and the point of intersection of the axis of the combustion chamber with the bottom of the working piston when said piston is in a top dead center. The invention makes it possible to increase the stability the engine operation and the efficiency thereof, to reduce the fuel consumption and the exhaust gas toxicity by improving the homogeneity of the fuel-air mixture. |
