摘要 PURPOSE: An ultrasound system and a method for controlling a sampling ratio according to a display state of an ultrasound image are provided to improve image quality of an ultrasound image by controlling a decimation process and a decimation filtering process of the ultrasound image signal based on a sampling ratio. CONSTITUTION: A transceiver(110) transmits an ultrasonic signal to an object. The transceiver forms a reception signal by receiving an ultrasound signal reflected by the object. A signal processor(120) forms the ultrasound image signal by performing decimation of the reception signal according to the sampling ratio. An image processor(140) forms a first ultrasound image of the object using the ultrasound image signal. The image processor forms a second ultrasound image of the object using the reception image signal. A display unit(150) displays the first ultrasound image on a screen. A controller(160) detects the size of a first ultrasound image and a second ultrasound image by considering the screen size of the display unit. The controller calculates the sampling ratio using the first ultrasound image size and the second ultrasound image size. The controller controls the sampling ratio of the signal processor using the calculated sampling ratio.
